If you understand the cultural framework and brilliant stylistic improbability of the band Melt-Banana, or are already a fan of Mariko’s previous work with avant-jazz-punk band Midori, you’ll find even more to love with Mariko’s work under her new moniker DJ510 Mariko. On this release, she fills happy hardcore tunes with Miku-esque vocals before filtering punk screams through screaming electronics.
